Size Guide

To help you choose the right size and quantity, please refer to the following common window types and matching film sizes:

• Double-Hung Window (24" × 36")
  For standard double-hung windows, we recommend purchasing 2 rolls of Size A (23.6" × 35.4").
  This allows you to cover both the upper and lower panels separately, ensuring a clean and precise fit.
• Casement Window (35" × 78")
  For tall casement windows that open outward, we recommend 2 rolls of Size B (17.32" × 78.74").
  Each roll can be applied to one side of the window for full vertical coverage.
• Sliding Window (35" × 78")
  Sliding windows typically consist of two horizontal panels. We suggest 2 rolls of Size B (17.32" × 78.74") to cover each panel individually while maintaining alignment and ease of installation.
• Narrow Lite Window (14" × 78")
  For narrow vertical windows, only 1 roll of Size B (17.32" × 78.74") is needed.
  The extra width allows for easy trimming to achieve a perfect fit.

Warm Tips:

• Always measure your glass area (not the frame) before purchasing.
• Choose a slightly larger size to allow trimming for a seamless installation.
• If your window size differs from the examples above, you can combine multiple rolls or cut the film to fit your exact dimensions.

Things to Know Before You Purchase

1. Returns, Quality Issues, Cancellations and Address Checks

FancyFix accepts eligible customer-reason returns of standard, non-custom products when you contact us within 14 calendar days after tracking shows delivery. The product must be unused, uninstalled, uncut, unaltered, in the same condition in which it was received, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required. Contact marketing@fancy-fix.com before sending anything; if approved, FancyFix will provide the correct return address and instructions. Do not mail a product to the original shipping address or a fulfillment warehouse.

For an approved customer-reason return, you are responsible for the return shipping fee, which is determined by the carrier and service you select. The original outbound shipping charge is non-refundable. FancyFix may deduct the actual non-refundable payment-processing fee charged for the original transaction; the amount will be disclosed during approval before you send the product. FancyFix does not charge a restocking fee. The refund is approved after the returned product is received and passes inspection.

If FancyFix confirms a manufacturing defect, transit damage, a wrong or missing item, or another FancyFix fulfillment error, you do not pay the return shipping cost and no payment-processing or restocking fee is deducted. The affected product normally does not need to be returned. If a return is required for a confirmed FancyFix-caused issue, FancyFix will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse the approved return shipping cost.

Report transit damage, wrong or missing items, or a visible material mismatch within 14 days after delivery. Curling, lifting, peeling, or loss of adhesion must be installed, discovered, and reported within 30 days after delivery. This reporting window is not a money-back guarantee. Email us with your order number, a description, and clear photos or video, and keep the item, labels, and packaging while we review the issue.

After human approval, FancyFix initiates an approved refund to the original payment method within two business days. For customer-reason returns, approval occurs after the returned product is received and passes inspection. The bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider determines when the funds appear. Contact us as soon as possible if your address needs correcting or you want to cancel. Except for the separately disclosed address-related and custom-order rules, an eligible standard in-stock order successfully cancelled before fulfillment receives a full refund to the original payment method. A cancellation caused by FancyFix receives a full refund. Once the carrier physically accepts the package, it cannot be cancelled.

Incomplete or ineligible addresses are placed on hold. We will contact you twice; if the address remains unresolved, the order stays on hold and is not automatically cancelled. If the order is subsequently cancelled because you cannot provide or correct an eligible street address, the disclosed 2% address-related cancellation fee applies only to the merchandise subtotal, not tax or shipping. It does not apply to FancyFix website or checkout errors, FancyFix, warehouse, or carrier errors or delivery limitations, or where a full refund is required by law. See the Shipping Policy.

Custom design and production have separate cancellation rules. Once you give written approval of final artwork, measurements, quantity, and orientation and production begins, customer-reason cancellation, return, exchange, or refund is not available. Eligible defects or material mismatch remain subject to review under the Return & Refund Policy.

2. Product Color & Visual Variations

Actual appearance may vary depending on lighting and environment.

Please refer to real installation photos and videos for the most accurate reference.

Different situations:

Sunny vs. Cloudy Days: Colors and light effects may appear brighter and more vibrant in direct sunlight, while overcast conditions create a softer, more muted appearance.

Day vs. Night: Changes in sun angle and light intensity throughout the day can affect the film's color, brightness, and overall visual effect.

Viewed from Inside vs. Outside: The film's pattern, texture, and privacy effect may look different depending on whether it is viewed from indoors or outdoors.

With or Without the Backing Layer: Colors may appear more vivid when the white backing layer is attached. The final appearance will be visible after installation on glass.

3. Installation

Static Cling: Our window films use a static cling application, which means no glue or adhesive is required. Simply apply with water for a clean, hassle-free installation.

Easy DIY Installation: Designed for beginners, most installations can be completed in just a few minutes, depending on the size of your window.

Removable & Repositionable: During installation, the film can be lifted and repositioned as needed for easier alignment. When removed properly, it leaves no sticky residue behind.

4. Edge Lifting & Adhesion Issues

Minor edge lifting may occur depending on environment and installation conditions.

Film touching the window frame or seals: Leave a 1–2 mm (1/16–1/8 inch) gap between the film and the frame when trimming.

Installation in cold temperatures: For best results, install at temperatures above 50°F (10°C) and allow the film time to acclimate to room temperature.

Dust, dirt, or residue on the glass: Thoroughly clean the glass surface before installation.

Excess water trapped along the edges: Use a squeegee to remove as much water as possible, paying extra attention to the edges.

Uneven or textured glass surfaces: Static cling films adhere best to smooth, flat glass surfaces.

Edges lifting shortly after installation: Gently lift the affected area, spray a small amount of water, and re-squeegee. Allow 24–48 hours for any remaining moisture to evaporate.

5. Shipping Information

FancyFix currently ships retail orders to eligible street addresses in the contiguous United States and Washington, DC. We do not currently ship to PO Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations.

Free standard shipping is available on eligible orders of US$49 or more. Some products are excluded and are marked “Separate shipping rate” on the product page. Available shipping methods and exact charges are shown at checkout.

Most standard in-stock orders are prepared for shipment within 3–7 business days after payment and required details are confirmed. Custom, personalized, preorder, or other items marked with a longer processing time may require 7–10 business days. After the carrier physically accepts and scans the package, delivery typically takes 3–7 business days for eligible U.S. addresses. Processing and transit are separate; delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

6. Glass Surface Compatibility

Can static-cling window film be applied to textured or frosted glass?

Static-cling film is not recommended for textured, frosted, uneven, greasy, or dusty glass because it cannot make full contact with the surface. FancyFix film performs best on smooth, flat, clean glass. For coated, Low-E, or double-pane glass, check the product specification and the glass manufacturer’s guidance before installation.
