It Started With a Stubborn Layer of Glue
Many years ago in China, families would replace the paper decorations on their windows before Lunar New Year. Putting them up was easy. Taking them down was not.
The paper peeled away, but the glue stayed behind—sticky, yellowed, and difficult to remove. Cleaning one window meant scraping with a blade and wiping the glass again and again. One image stayed with us: a family member crouched at the windowsill, working to remove adhesive that would not come off.
Years later, after entering the window film and vinyl industry, we turned that everyday frustration into a simple question:
Could window décor be easier to apply—and easier to remove?
We spent three years developing an adhesive-free film for window glass. It held to the glass through static cling instead of glue, allowing it to be applied when wanted and removed without leaving the same adhesive mess behind.
That product gave FancyFix its direction: make it easier for ordinary people to create homes they enjoy living in.

Today, FancyFix designs window films, peel-and-stick wallpaper, contact paper, floor and furniture coverings, and other home décor products.

FancyFix was established in 2004 and is built on a family manufacturing heritage dating to 1989. Based in Hangzhou, China, our team brings more than 20 years of experience in window film and wall decoration to the products we create.
